The feed in tariff scheme introduced in April finally provides home owners with the added financial incentive to not only make substantial savings on their heating and energy bills but to also help the environment by reducing your carbon footprint.

Through the use of FITs DECC hope to encourage deployment of additional low carbon electricity generation, particularly by organisations, businesses, communities and individuals who are not traditionally engaged in the electricity market. Introducing solar power to homes is described as a “clean energy cashback” allowing many people to invest in small scale low carbon electricity, in return for a guaranteed payment both for the electricity they generate and export.
